We went to Amboseli Park by road from Nairobi. While traffic was a challenge, the drive was fine. We stayed at Tortilis Camp. It was phenomenal. The wildlife in Amboseli was likewise phenomenal, where we saw lion, elephant, hippo, Cape buffalo, giraffe, hyena, jackal, ostrich, and many beautiful birds. John was our driver and we highly recommend him.

We even saw Mount Kilimanjaro a few times. While views were not great due to the time of year, we did get some Kodak moments.

Fatma, Sadru and Triza did a great job of organizing the trip. This is the second time we used them but the first in almost twenty years. They continue to be a fantastic outfitter for Kenyan safaris.

We will return!

Discover Safaris has twice arranged safaris for us. They are exceedingly meticulous in all the arrangements they make. Both safaris have been free of any mishaps and we have always felt safe with their with their drivers/guides in particular Sifuni. I would thoroughly recommend this firm.

When I asked this brilliant safari company to put together a safari last January for our extended family of 17 I could not have imagined then what a truly wonderful job they would do! I was guided in our choice of safari by Sadru whose family owns the company. Having travelled quite extensively in Kenya in the past we spent a lot of time discussing the various merits of a safari in Tanzania as well as Kenya and Sadru’s patience in organising such a large party and with such a varied age group was boundless! In the end we flew from Nairobi to Intrepids camp in Samburu where their wonderful drivers met us off the flight and accompanied us on a memorable few days in the most beautiful game park. We saw far more game than we expected including incredible close encounters with leopard and herds of elephant and much more. Sadru had specifically recommended a stay at Soisian Ranch on the Laikipia plateau. It took us about 4 hours in our 3 landcruisers to drive there and worth every minute. Our lovely drivers left us there to enjoy a 2 night stay we shall never forget! We encountered a rare pack of wild dogs, hyena, lion, leopard, elephant and a lot else beside! We enjoyed the whole safari experience immensely and finally flew back to Nairobi before transferring to the coast for the rest of our holiday. Discover Kenya looked after us every inch of the way right from meeting us at Nairobi airport and the final transfers as we left. Nothing was too much trouble including holding all our coast luggage while on safari and then swapping all of that and holding our safari luggage (this helped with all the light aircraft weight restrictions). I wouldn’t hesitate using this company again and again and God willing our family will do just that in the future! Thank you Fatma, Sadru, Pousline, Big John, and all your staff !

Although there are many companies in this space, we have been extremely happy with their professionalism. On behalf of everyone, I would like to thank you and your staff and partners for making our vacation a truly memorable experience .
From the minute we landed in Kigali to the time we left Zanzibar, we felt completely pampered and well taken care of. Thank you for adjusting to all our last minute changes and for giving us an opportunity( esp mom) to experience novel adventures. Rahim was very kind and knowledgable and was able to point out a ton of wildlife. The guides in Kigali and in Zanzibar were also very helpful and good.

It was wonderful to meet Triza, Fatma and Kasu in Nairobi and go through what to expect on our safaris. JJ was wonderful during our stay in Nairobi. Rahim was an excellent guide and we will never forget him. His knowledge and love for the animals was evident and our safaris would not have been the same without him. Thank you Rahim. Fatma, thank you for always staying in touch and making sure we were taken care of at all our other stops throughout Tanzania. We planned a trip to TANZANIA in end of June 2016. It was an important trip to me as it was a family trip for the 65th Birthday of my mom and I was travelling with my son (11 years old). So I needed a very safe and well organize trip (safe and secure with a patient guide as my mother and son are French and they speak just little English.)
First I have to say that working on our trip with Triza was so easy, she was present all the time and helping us with all our questions. She was quick in responding and so patient, she helped us to feel at ease about our trip.
Concerning Accommodation, it was excellent. The first Night in Arusha we slept in Zawadi house a very simple and charming house with a small but very nice garden and such a nice and welcoming staff that try to do their best to make us feel at ease and such a nice ‘cuisine’ simple but very good. (a special mention for the Maramboi Camp (that I highly recommend) as the rooms were extremely charming, the staff was so kind and welcoming and the outside was stunning, we loved it (our best experience !!) . We liked a lot also the Kati Kati Camp; very welcoming staff also and the experience was impressive (we slept under tent but it was such a nice adventure, we could hear the lions and Hyenas at night !!)
Our Guide Pius was very nice, calm and helpful. We asked him a lot about animals, and life in Tanzania… He could spoke a little French and made a great effort especially for us ! (It was very nice)

Thanks to all at Discover Kenya, particularly Triza, for helping us design a wonderful itinerary for our 2016 visit to Kenya!
Our guides, Francis (Discover Kenya), Norman (Lewa) and Julius (Governor’s) were wonderful, most particularly Francis. Each of them helped us to further our knowledge and understanding of Kenya and the wildlife we encountered. We enjoyed Victor’s company as well as we navigated around Nairobi.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Boma Hotel in Nairobi and every camp on the itinerary…..Ithumba, Tortilis, Lewa and Governor’s. The Boma was perfectly located for visiting the DSWT nursery and access to the airports. At all the safari camps, management and staff were welcoming and gracious. Of particular note, the managing couple at Lewa arranged a private patio dinner one night for us and a hilltop breakfast & hilltop sundowner…quite lovely. Transfers to all of our in country destinations were seamless with both Yellow Wings and Air Kenya.
Again, thank you for everything! We treasure our 25 days in Kenya in June 2016 and are already considering a return trip in 2018. We have and will continue to recommend your services to others.

Better than advertised. Office staff Triza was incredibly easy to work with.

We were recommended to Discover Safaris and Fatma when planning our trip to Kenya, and we are more than happy that we followed that recommendation. Fatma was – right from the beginning – very helpful with suggestions and planning of our itinerary and we commend her patience as we had to change the numbers in the party a couple of times. Right from our arrival in Kenya at the airport to our departures to different destinations, everything worked like a clockwork – friendly, efficient and professional. The lodges in the game parks recommended by them were wonderful, our only regret being that we couldn’t stay there longer! Richard our driver/guide was knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. Our future trips to that region will be only through Discover Safaris. We were 3 couples (friends) from different countries on this trip. We thank Fatma and her team for this wonderful experience and 10 days of a great trip.
